Mystery flower delivery 🧐

Courier company have just delivered a flat box of freshly cut flowers addressed to me.

Lovely surprise!

My birthday is on Friday.

Here's the mystery ....

Inside the box is a printed note saying "we're sorry your first delivery wasn't perfect. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we apologise for any inconvenience this has caused"

Three things to note here.....

1. No other note to say who they are from

1. I was not expecting flowers, have not been asked if I have received any - either by direct question or subtly

1. My partner doesn't do flowers, never has in 20+ years - just not his vibe - is equally perplexed.

Total mystery here - needs MN pearls of wisdom - who are they from?

I checked the box - definitely addressed to me.

Other disorganised family member/ friend who originally sent on wrong day to wrong address and now has rearranged delivery with no note??

The note is the type I’d expect to be included if a bunch had already been sent and a complaint was raised about the quality? Ie this is a replacement bunch and they’re sorry. But you don’t mention an original bunch this could apply to!

@Isanyonereallyanonymous - hence the mystery! No original flower delivery at all. Therefore no complaint (from me) of poor quality flowers.

I'm totally flummoxed.

The flowers could be an apology for a completely different type of delivery which you ordered, though? Has an order for something else gone wrong and they are belatedly apologizing?

@AhhhThereWeAreThen I think someone else has had a delivery of flowers (to replace a bad bunch they"ve complained about!) with a note that says Happy Birthday ThereWeAre, love from Relative/Friend 😂

As above I think a friend has send them for your birthday but the company have mixed up the notes, call and ask them
