Call her amy. Amy helped me when I first had an awful life changing thing happen. We used to get meals after work all the time etc.
Last night she invited Julie from another team her and Julie are long time mates. Julie has caused trouble lately by making a major allegation about her manager. I’m not fond of Julie. She makes me feel unsettled. Normally it’s just me and Amy that grab food but I was like whatever it’s fine. I find Amy becomes a bit more rude around Julie. Like she needs her validation.
We get to the meal and we talk about past stuff. Toby (ex colleague) left us a while back. We didn’t see eye to eye so I subtly avoided his leaving meal. He told Amy to rearrange because neither her or I couldn’t get there. So she did. And while we went for and she went “I told toby we couldn’t come because I had child care and didn’t know what Amelia (me) was doing. Whacked her right under the bus” that annoyed me as I’ve backed her enough.
She also said “I might go out after this with hubby. Fancy coming Julie” never bothered asking me. Again. Not an issue. Just rude.
