So the photos from WhatsApp are showing on Google photos on your phone? But not your computer?

purpleme12 · 22/01/2024 21:39

Well just showing on the Google photos app.
When I go into the Google photos, type it into the internet (which is where the things are supposed to be stored isn't it?) It's just the photos I've taken on my camera.

There's no WhatsApp things and no library with a WhatsApp folder.

Please help!

If my phone broke I need to be able to have the pictures and videos and I don't understand as it says they're backed up!

Hi Boris, call that American blonde who gave you all those IT sessions. OP don't fret, if they're on Google they're not lost, someone will be along to tell you more.

I don't know what that post is about

I have an Android phone.
Connect your phone to your computer and open up phone storage in your computer files. Go into DCIM file in your phone storage which should show the photos on your camera roll.
Then look at the Pictures file on your phone storage, hopefully there should be a WhatsApp file in Pictures with your photos there. Copy them onto your computer then upload them to Google manually.
Sorry if this sounds incomprehensible, but you might have to manually upload photos to Google even although you've set it to automatically upload. I upload photos to the Amazon photos app and it won't automatically upload WhatsApp photos.
Good luck.

First IT solution for everything. Before doing anything more complicated. Switch off your phone and PC. Switch them on again. Have another look, that might do it.

Your posts seem to be aiming to be deliberately unhelpful. please don't post
