I have friction burns on my knuckles, from trying to put a loose cover on a sofa

Bloody multiyork loose covers!
It's DD's and I dyed it

I'd had advise about putting it back on before and it was suggested I do it damp

I've scrapped some knuckles on velcro, I have friction burns and I now have cramps in my fingers from pulling

I've told them next time I'll buy them a new (secondhand) sofa rather than wash them again!

Sympathies, OP. I’ve never had trouble with ours (pale yellow from Plumbs) but I often used to get calls from an elderly neighbour for help with hers - which she’d washed after her dh had peed on them. 😩
They were an absolute bugger to get back on.

Oh you have my sympathies.
I washed the covers on my old sofa and hoestly would rather fight a bear than try and get them back on ever again... nightmare! I've just ordered new sofas and they are going to be covered in throws to try and avoid having to do that ever again!

I used to have linen loose covers on my sofas, wearing rubber gloves gave me better grip and protected my hands.

Oo linen sound nice

This was move like canvas almost denim like - - they do look good tho, cream to mid grey

Rubber gloves!! I won't need them as I won't do it again!
