Nourishing Snack at 4 - 5 pm

With lunch at 12 and supper at 7.30 roughly on working days, I need to have a small snack in between to tidy me over and to exercise with energy.

Usually, I would have table spoon peanut butter and a small glass of milk.

What else can I have, lower in calories but still filling?

Biona rye bread toasted, topped with nut butter or a (not quite) hard boiled egg and vegemite

Proper Greek yoghurt with sliced banana and blueberries

Hummus with wholemeal pitta sticks and cucumber sticks

Cheese and seedy crackers

@Perfect28

When I read the OP I had a half formed thought in my head that the snack mentioned was a bit odd and started scrolling and when I saw your comment, that is EXACTLY the way I feel about it.

You've described it perfectly.

Why not have half a TBSP with some apple sticks or sliced banana, it would be much more pleasant to eat?

Edamame beans? Can buy frozen ones and just defrost a portion.

I often have these. I defrost in a jug of boiled water with some salt. Sometimes I dry fry them with a diced scallion and chilli. Such a great snack.

I have:
an oat biscuit with 30g cheese and a satsuma

Ryvita and half fat cream cheese and some radishes

or a cup of miso soup (the sachets) and an apple

or a small mug of hot semi skimmed milk with coca powder in it and a Nairns ginger oatcake

A small slice of wholemeal toast with avocado (no butter)

Small packet of salt popcorn and some cherry tomatoes

A chicken drumstick (skin off) and lettuce
