Hi,

We have tickets for an event at Hammersmith Apollo next month, can anyone recommend any nearby restaurants?

I'm thinking of distance to the Apollo and Hammersmith station, which I'll assume for now you're going to be arriving into. My two easy recommendations would be Bill's (not far from the station) and Chez Maiss just outside the station, en route to the Apollo (you literally can just cross the road from where the restaurant is). I haven't eaten at Chez Maiss, but it has good reviews.

The Gate is very good if you're into vegetarian at all.

BIWI · 20/01/2024 19:19

Came here to recommend The Gate!

ChocHotolate · 20/01/2024 19:23

There's the usual Bills & Nandos if you want something easy & quick.

If you like curry, Rangrez is great, but book.

LokiCokey · 20/01/2024 19:44

Thank you, as a veggie The Gate looks amazing but my husband may not be so impressed sadly and it's a treat for him!

I've looked at the others and they all look good, thank you 😊

It would be a long walk or a short Uber ride, but nearer Ravenscourt Park there's The Anglesea arms, which does excellent everything including steak (!) L'Amorosa, a small husband-and-wife Italian that's really delicious, and Indian Zing, which is a cut above if your DH likes things like tandoori lamb chops.

BIWI · 20/01/2024 19:50

We're not vegetarians @LokiCokey but have always had really good and tasty meals there.

There's not a massive amount round there, but you could try the Duke of Cornwall pub? (I was going to link to their website, but it doesn't appear to be working right now)

If you go a bit further Sams brassiere on the river has good reputation and beautiful spot....

lazyalias · 20/01/2024 21:01

101 Thai Kitchen? 20 mins walk away, maybe 10 on the bus.

ScoobyDoesnt · 20/01/2024 21:04

Take a look at Faber - opened at end of last year and is amazing!

Very close to tube and Apollo

LokiCokey · 21/01/2024 16:40

Thanks all, I'm busy checking out the menus for all the ones here. Think I'll have to stick to the most local as we won't have much time Grin

Oh yes! Sam’s is right on the river behind the Apollo (near Riverside Studios). It’s super close and really lovely! Good shout averythinline.

We ate here on Saturday, really good food. Honest Burger is good too, and both virtually on the Apollo's doorstep.

LokiCokey · 17/02/2024 18:21

Thanks for everyone's help we booked Chez Maiss in the end and had a lovely evening!
