ASOS returns

Hi,

Anyone had any experience of returning straight to asos warehouse without barcode?

I've got £250+ worth of clothes that son doesnt fit/doesn't like. I requested returns in the allocated time and got barcode but failed to see return date buy (15/01) and barcode doesn't work.

Online help weren't very helpful. Even when I asked for a gift voucher they said they couldn't make a decision only the warehouse could.

They weren't this strict last year I felt I had a lot longer for returns😢

They won’t refund you without a barcode or after the deadline. Annoying but that’s just the way it is!

Thank you, thought so 😢

I had a return and didn't make the date so lost the barcode, I made a subsequent order and when I had to return some of that, I just shoved it all in because it didn't fit and they mad as well have had it back. They ended up giving me a voucher for the extra bits I'd put in. I wasn't expecting it and I'm not sure I'd be that lucky again, not sure I'd risk it with £250 worth though! Maybe bit by bit!

I wouldn’t risk it with £250 worth - I’ve put other things in a return without their barcode before and hoped for the best. I thought it would be ok because they were still within the returns timeframe but they didn’t even acknowledge them whatsoever, no voucher or anything like that!

You can’t do it, I’ve tried too. I just had to sell on Vinted/eBay to try to recoup at least part of the costs 🥲

Hi, thanks for the replies.

I think I'm gonna have to do the Vinted route, hopefully some of the items will sell well.

They used to be so good, especially over Christmas with extended returns.

ASOS were really strict with me on this too, they used to provide credit for anything outside the window. I also had a barcode but narrowly missed the deadline.

After all the shopping I'd done with them in the 15 years prior, I found it short sighted.
The worst part was I had a couple of items I didn't want, in two different sizes.

I didn't need it when I was pregnant, with a toddler and recovering from illness (hence why I missed going to the post office).

I tried really hard to get them to change their minds but they wouldn't, I never shopped there again and never will.
