What can I do today in Manchester by myself? I like music and theatre and walking and comedy. Need to get out and keep busy.

Have a look at the Manchester Girl website, full of great ideas in what to do. Not sure if you live there or visiting but the Facebook group is also great for things to do, people to meet up with etc.

NatMoz · 20/01/2024 07:52

If it's possible to grab a last minute ticket as i know it has been crazy popular. Do go and see Hamilton. It's a theatrical masterpiece

I mostly mooch and eat! There are a number of gardens though, there's the Castlefield viaduct, which is National Trust, or RHS Bridgewater. there's a nice loop around the canals through the northern Quarter and Ancoats, stopping off at pollen bakery, and coming back by the edge of New Islington onto Ducie Street.

I've done the Lowry and wandered around media city, Trafford Centre, I like wandering down Oxford Road to the university, a few shops and café. Didsbury or Charlton for food and a mooch. I've been meaning to go on a unique cities walk, which is given by somebody who has experienced homelessness, but never got round to it.
