What to buy for neighbours who have just had a baby

Our lovely neighbours have just had a baby. They have a couple of older kids. I want to take them a little something but not sure what. Don’t want to spend more than £15/20 and wondering if it’s nicer to focus on everyone else but the baby… as I’m sure the baby has loads.

What would you appreciate for the value above? I’m definitely overthinking it!

Food! Perhaps a lasagne, a pot of hearty soup, a voucher for pizza. Something they don't have to cook 😄

Casseroles, stew or whatever

This is such a lovely gesture. When I had my baby, our neighbours bought us a bottle of prosecco and a card and we were so grateful for their thoughtful gift!!

Voucher for a local coffee shop? Some nice coffee and cakes could suit them while on leave.

Voucher for coffee /cafe
So when they venture out with baby they can stop And relax a bit.

If you know their favourite take away maybe a treat of that so no cooking an evening.

Box of nice chocolates. I did this and they went down very well.

A cake or other food. Depending on the ages of the children a sticker book or something. If it’s their third they’ve likely all the baby clothes they’ll ever need but consumable things (even nappies/calpol/etc) are always good.

a phone number “if you ever need something in the middle of the night then…”
