How to create opportunities that will change your life?

Can anyone give advice on how to create or seek opportunities that could potentially be life changing?

I'm stuck in a rut at the moment and do not know what I want to do.

I'm a professional who no longer feels that my current career aligns with my personal values and I'm struggling with the fact that the nature of my job has changed so much and I can no longer do what my job description says, due to the toxic environment and failings of the public service.

I lack motivation at the moment and I am depressed. I'm just trying to seek ways to improve my life and find that spark again.

Any suggestions or tips?

I’m sure you’ll get lots of suggestions, but something that’s had a big impact for me is meditation. I do a short guided meditation every day, usually in my lunch break. I use ones from Boho Beautiful Yoga on YouTube. Whatever else you do, it will help you with relaxation, clarity and self-care. It’s helped me cope so much better with all kinds of stress but especially work, and I feel in a much better place to think and make decisions. Good luck.

It's hard to know where to start, I guess there is a lot I can work on personal growth. But how to prioritise?

Guess you need clarity - is it just that specific job in that specific place? Can it not be moved to private sector (it’s still cut throat). If profession altogether, that’s more complicated, if well paid and you’re a material girl, like me.

Or is it beyond the job? If so, job change alone may not be a solution.

Or may be you just need a holiday, or a reality check? For all my moaning about work, I realise how much harder others grind for less money and recognition.
