I've just tested positive (, feel ok but I work with vulnerable people ) how did it make you feel? I had it once back in 2021 and I felt grand so just wanting other experience of Covid lately

First time I had it I didn't know, I only found out due to mandatory testing.

I had it over Xmas and it has knocked me sideways, I'm still recovering now.

I believe how you feel is very much dependent on which variant you have. Get well soon.

Awful.
Absolutely awful.
Fatigued to the point we could hardly get out of bed, we didn’t shower for 5/6 days. Joint/bone pain, nausea, banging headaches, flare up of arthritis, dizziness, but only a slight cough
Effects of fatigue were still being felt 3 + weeks on and we still have the cough over 5 weeks on. Fully vaccinated due to being staff.

Felt really crap for 2 days, unwell for a week or so in total.

The worst I’ve ever felt in my life. I’m 30s with no underlying conditions and triple vaxed. I couldn’t get out of bed, couldn’t eat, ached down to my bones, sweats and shivers, dizzy when I walked to the bathroom. As well as very severe common cold symptoms. Then brain fog for weeks afterwards - it was quite frightening

chickentikkasoup · 17/01/2024 18:09

That's interesting. My young teenage nephews have both had it quite badly in the last few weeks too. Im not at all panicking about it but I wanted to get a feel of everyone's experience lately. Thankfully I'm off work tomorrow so can relax

First time was a year ago. Lost my taste and smell and went to bed for 2/3 days. Then started to feel alright. Mainly a big cold with headaches and I felt really nauseous a lot of the time too.

Second time was August last year. Tested positive for 2 weeks. Couldn’t move for about 7/8 of those days. Slept and slept as I was so fatigued. Lost my appetite.

I've recently had a bug not sure if it was COVID but I haven't had it before and never tested. Felt a bit rough but well enough to work. I had a sore throat and a cough.
