DID starting ADHD medication as an adult change anything?

Almost 40. Am certain I have ADHD. Almost 2 decades of being told I'm depressed and have anxiety. Switching from one antidepressent to another.

Am around 12 months from diagnosis and I just need to know if I've any chance of feeling normal.

Yes I lost loads of weight and got a lot more productive at work.
The dopamine chasing sugar addiction stopped and my diet improved.

It did, I managed to get a professional job after 9 years of not doing a lot and it transformed my outlook, but it's also given me heart problems so I had to stop again after 2 months. However it was an AMAZING two months! Maybe the NHS will see their way to actually issuing the prescription for a different one that they said they would sort out almost a year ago. 🙄

Wow that's so promising. I have massive sugar cravings and just sit all day feeling too overwhelmed to do anything.

Same OP. Hoping to get diagnosed shortly and also hoping medication changes my life. Though at a time I thought anti depressants would have done that. They didn’t.
