Cats and cat flaps..

Does your cat open the cat flap with his head- like my one brain cell orange cat Orlando, or with a delicate feminine paw like my tabby Carlos? Or do they have some other method?

My cat had a quarrel with another cat who was looking through; consequently I have a flapless cat flap.

Head. Had to adapt the flap as cat used to take a run up & head but. She used to regularly break out!
Now she is old & sedate & sleeps 22hours out of 24!!

Paw slam, which is why he didn't learn how to use the microchip function 🤷‍♀️

Head - he has to really, it opens when his microchip gets close so using his paw doesn't work, trhe chip is on the back of his neck.

Old cat used to use head to leave the house, then his claws to grab the flap, and pull it open to get back inside......

Hits it with his paw repeatedly until I get bored and open the door for him.
If it is more urgent and he plans to travel through it, he uses his head.

Paw. And even though she’s been going through it for 4 years now she still gives it a delicate unsuccessful swiping for a little while before realising she needs to push a bit harder.

Paw. Although that's to go out. Which he won't do anymore. Perfectly capable of coming in it at 100mph though
