I am immunocompromised, and had a major accident in June 2021, about three months after the world started fully opening up again. So this winter (23/24) has been my first fully in-public winter, as I am generally fully recovered from my injury, can work in-person again, have a social life independently, etc etc.
And I am SO unwell! I have pretty much had some form of a chesty cough / rough cold / vomiting episode from mid November. I will feel better for a week and then fall sick again. I am attempting to study a healthcare degree and having to take an absence on the first week of placement does not look good but I will probably infect patients and have been up all night.
I'm aware most people would have experienced their first post-pandemic winter in the 21/22 season, is this normal?? Or should I be speaking to my GP at this point?
