Childcare code 15 hours- help!

Please help me Mumsnet hive mind because this is stressing me out.

DS was 2 last summer so we qualify for this in the Easter term. I went on yesterday and saw it said to apply for his age group from the 15th of Jan (yesterday) to the 28th of Feb. I had a spare hour and just wanted it done so I applied and got my code. Congratulated myself on being organised for once!

Today we got an email from nursery saying the borough say don't apply until the end of February or your code will expire! So now panicking I've fucked up and we'll lose out. But I just did what the website said!

The letter with the code said we needed to reconfirm on the 15th of April but the provision I know is from the 1st of April. He is at a school nursery so term time only and the first day would be the 15th.

It's fine. Just reconfirm when it's time. The code is the same it just needs to be reconfirmed and it will remain active.

As an aside, everyone needs to calm the heck down about codes! The hysteria I've seen on multiple threads is going to make some people ill. Just get your code, reconfirm by the date it tells you and give it to your provider when they ask for it.

Hard deadline for summer term is 31st March for birthdays and code claiming.
