How do you pronounce Beatrix?

Is it like Beer-trix or Bee-trix? Or something totally different?!

I say Bee-tricks (I’m Irish)

however I live in Geneva and the French would say Bay-ah-treex

I have a Beatrice and she's been called Bee-triss before instead of Beer-triss.

I say Bay-a-tricks, her dad goes heavy/low on the BAY-a as he’s Dutch with an accent. It’s a more common name in Netherlands but we have met one here.

People writing beer tricks, do you say drawer and draw the same? I do but others pronounce the r. So to me beah, bee uh and beer all sound the same.

Be-a-tricks but the middle “a” is very unstressed and almost inaudible, almost sounds like beetroot with tricks instead of oot.

Beer-trix isn’t a good way to write a suggested pronounciation because a good proportion of readers of this thread will be rhotic speakers ie we pronounce the “r” at the end of a word. So we are just thinking “why would anyone insert an “r” that is not there?
