OK, this is probably going to annoy some of you as an example of "useless man needs women to think for him", but its for a good cause I promise you.
We're meant to be going away this weekend to celebrate DPs Cousins 60th birthday, however DP has been suffering from chronic migraines for the last two weeks, so has barely got out of bed. Hopefully she'll be well enough to go by the time the weekend rolls around, but I want to make sure I've sorted out everything that needs doing before we go.
So, I need to buy a birthday present for this cousin. The hiccup is that I barely know her. She's been living in another country for most of the past two decades, so I've only actually met her twice, and then only briefly. The only real info I know about her is that she's a keen gardener, and getting her something gardening related seems risky, because she probably already owns anything she actually needs.
This also isn't a group of people I've ever needed to buy for, both my Grans and my Mum died young, so I don't have a mental catalogue of off the cuff presents for middle aged women.
So I need to go generic, and I'm looking to spend about £40 - £50. Smellies, candles, chocolates, other food stuff etc seems like a good bet, but can anyone recommend some decent brands, or suggest what sort of thing they'd like?
I'm going to head into town tomorrow to look for something, or can do Amazon etc.
Thanks in advance!
