Ideas for Goody bag for friend’s hospital stay please!

My friend is having major surgery next week and will be in hospital probably about 3 nights.

Really nice fluffy socks. If I could afford cashmere I’d get her those! ( I can’t).

Any other ideas?

Think about what she needs to do to recover. For example, presents for someone who can't bear weight on their leg would be different to someone who's had eye surgery or heart surgery.

Cheap flip flops to wear in the hospital bathroom/shower.
Lavender pillow spray.
Small notebook & pen.

A moisturising face mist
Some Micellar water.
Nail Files and Hand Cream
Foot Cream and Fluffy Socks
Decent Tea Bags and a Thermal Cup and Bottle for hot/cold water.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.
A tiny pot of Vaseline.
Sheet Masks.
*Spray deodorant and Pillow Sprays are discouraged as she may be sharing with someone who has a compromised respiratory system or allergies. (Sneezing after surgery is no fun.) Rollerball perfume samples are perfect.

Oooh… if not a heated throw, how about a rechargeable heat pack?

A power strip. There is normally only one socket by the bed and if she wants to plug more than one thing in it is handy

DD and a close friend both had major surgery last year, anything edible is a no go as the drugs and long anaesthetic really take your appetite away. I made the mistake of buying loads of nice chocolate etc when in reality the only people who wanted it were other visitors!

A nice silky eye mask was DD’s favourite present by far. Good for naps and sleeping on an ever bright ward.
