War

I am getting sick of the endless wars. I don't want to get involved with Russia/Ukraine, I don't think we should be supporting Israel in any practical way, and I don't think we should be fighting in the Red Sea. Government ministers are already saying there will be more, and it's going to cost. It is costing, lots. Many other European countries stay out of it all. But not us, because, more than ever, we are America's sidekick, although they've said in the past they won't prioritise us.

Lots of people will pile on and say we have to, it'll get worse if we don't , etc etc, but I disagree. It is adding nothing to the life of an ordinary family, and costing a fortune. It's putting us in danger, and retaliation has already been threatened. I don't think we gain anything by active participation in other people's fights, which we join only for political reasons in reality.

We’ve poked the bear. We’re fucking around and we’ll find out. It’s WW3 . It’s naive to think we’ll come out of this without any repercussions . It’s gonna go tits up. I’m getting ready to move my family to Africa. I don’t trust our head of state or prime minister. Get yourself on the next flight to Cape Town . Europe is not a safe place to be right now.

Imagine how much sicker you'd be if you were living in one of the war zones.

I do agree with your points though.

Europe is already preparing for war.
It will happen, it's just a case of when.
Until then just carry on living your life.

Well the red sea attacks has increased prices. I think it’s imperative to protect global shipping routes & the economy going into recession etc will impact us. And some other countries support the moves eg Canada & Australia.

Other countries are providing weapons etc to Ukraine so again not just UK involvement.

I agree with you however, I think one of our HMS ships was attacked in the Red Sea and I do believe we have the right to defend ourselves.

You prefer the Neville Chamberlain approach? I don't think that worked out too well...

I know several South Africans who are over here because SA is a highly dangerous place to live (and an amazingly beautiful and wonderful country, it’s so sad). Just look at the murder stats and how many people live in gated communities with paid-for security. You’d have to be mad to move there from the UK thinking you’d be safer
