Mine is my allotment.
Even on a cold, frozen January day it makes my heart skip a little.

Between my legs 🤣. That said, she does get a bit miserable on a monthly basis.

@IHateLegDay Yep, you’re right, I grow veggies there 😂
Went this morning to get some potatoes from the shed, and tried to wrangle a couple of parsnips from the frozen ground.
Sad I know, but I just love growing things - the planning, the sowing of seeds, not so much the relentless watering in the summer but I find it so calming and peaceful there. Also keeps me fit(-ish 😉)

That sounds lovely ☺️

This is mine. We manage to visit once or twice a year. It’s a beautiful place to just sit and watch.

Airports, ferries, train stations ... just being in transit - I like the journey, fires up bits of my brain that are usually doing nothing
And a particular town in France - find it so easy to just fall into step with it and I quite like who I am when I'm there

Spa with a book

You win the thread 😂

For me:

The stone seat under the tree in my garden. It faces due west and I can sit there and watch the sun sink and the dusk come down. In summer I like watching the swifts disappear and the bats come out.

My window seat: my favourite reading nook.

Another window seat in a cosy coastal pub where we can sit, glass in hand, watching the sun set over the harbour. (As you see, I love sunsets).

The beautiful, dramatic, exposed headland near to where I live. Progress hasn't caught up with this place and it's remained largely unchanged for many decades.

The spa: hydropool and sauna. I don't care what Mumnset says!

One of mine used to be on horseback. Then I broke my spine in a riding accident and nearly died from complications following surgery. I gave up on a promise to my child, but still sorely miss it.

Likewise, riding waves. Since my injury I don't know whether I'm still capable of this, but one of these days I'll give it a damned good try 😀

By the sea, especially if it's a bit stormy and dramatic.
