Do you ever look at multi million pound properties on Rightmove

You talk yourself out of some because the main en suite doesn’t have a tub, or the utility room is too small. When you see ones you like you’re rearranging the rooms, wondering where the TV will go, thinking of colour schemes.

and all the while you have a just tenner in your bank account 😂

All the time! I'm actually quite fussy!

Deathraystare · 15/01/2024 22:32

Yeah at work
Usually not impressed.. especially as I normally look in London and often no to little garden I do not want acres.. But for that money expect a ĝaragee, , utility room, office on house or garden. 2 reception rooms. More than one bathroom and seperate loo/s

Decent off road parking for friendsno shared drives!!!!

Yes!
I refer to it as Property Porn.

I'm also very critical about layouts, and yesterday point blank refused to "buy" a £5m one because it was 4 floors and the laundry was in the basement. I imagined lobbing my dirty underwear down 3 flights of stairs...

Don't be silly you just pay for someone to install a laundry chute! And hire a maid.

I've just ruled out a nine million pound house on Sandbanks as the kitchen looks like 70's blue Formica.

biscuitnut · 15/01/2024 23:00

I know the one you mean. Yes I rejected that one as well. 😂

SD1978 · 15/01/2024 23:01

Yup, and the level of pickiness I have astounds me, I will flick past and judge houses I wouldn't be allowed to set foot in based on layout of the amount of 'work' it would take to bring it up to my standards...

WantOutOfRatRace · 15/01/2024 23:03

All the time. I look at about 5 different areas and work out what I'd buy if I won the lottery (which I only play when I'm really fed up!). I've realised I'm actually very fussy Grin

I like to see those houses from inside for interior design. I do look aften especially when i am considering to get my own bathroom done or kitchen for real inspiration designs.

EarlofShrewsbury · 15/01/2024 23:15

This is my favourite hobby. I'm very critical but occasionally I'll fall in love with one an get sad that I'll never actually live there.

Install a laundry chute?

MrsMoastyToasty · 16/01/2024 00:08

Yes, I live between Bristol and Bath and there's loads of million pound plus houses for sale in the area.

mondaytosunday · 16/01/2024 01:30

Sure! I love looking at expensive London houses. I nitpick about stuff - though I renovate houses so know what I'd do. I tend ti look at the up to £7m mark, above that and it's just wasted space!
