Roughly how long does marriage counselling take?

My DH and I started marriage counselling just before Christmas. It was something that we'd talked about previously but became much more urgent because (for a number of reasons) I had reached a point where I felt that I was not sure about the marriage any more.

We've now had a few sessions and they're going well and improving our communication. I still don't feel like I'm 100% 'there' in being certain that I'm ready to move on. I want to be sure that some issues and bad habits are not going to go backwards. But, understandably, he would like things to be resolved and me ready to move on and forward as soon as possible.

For those who have been in a similar position, how long did it take with counselling before you felt like you were able to draw a line under the issues and move on?

Why I go alone?

Depends what was done, whether the person was sorry and whether they were making concrete, observable changes.

Definitely some observable changes being made.
Why am I so hesitant? I guess because I've realised that theses things have crept in over so long and just seemed to be getting worse.
Maybe I need to be more proactive and positive.
