How are your new years resolutions going?

Back in November I started a thread about my new approach to NYRs, taking them month-by-month.

My resolution for January was to eat more pears which has been going really well - 12 pears consumed so far this month 😂

I'm also trying to live by the "Two Minute" and "Worst First" rules.
Two Minute = If a job will take you less than two minutes, do it now, don't put it off.
Worst First = Do your worst/most dreaded tasks first to get them out of the way.

Just wondering how everyone else's NYRs were going?

Page 2 | I know its early but - what are your resolutions for 2024? I'm taking a different approach next year. | Mumsnet

I know its early but I'm already thinking about my new years resolution(s) for 2024. I have a year-long work-based resolution which is to say "no" to...

House decluttering - ongoing but at least it's going - it's never going to end I don't think!

DIY indoor small tasks we can do ourselves, starting with the jobs we have actually already bought all the items for, this is going better than expected - again feel like it will never end

No sneaky glasses of wine on a school night - now this isn't quite as successful as the DIY I blame football being on during midweek, but on the whole generally much better than before so I am counting this is a win so far with some, but not much, room for improvement.

Getting the cook from scratch mojo back, currently excelling in this and have almost no food waste in the process.

Reading instead of doomscrolling, not quite excelling but an embedded B+ so far.

March goals:
Back on the treadmill
Back in the studio
Garden! (this I know will never be done, it's so wet out there that I think we might struggle with patching up the "grass" alone this year!

Must not buy new books UNTIL I have read a fair few more of all the
a) new books I have asked for as presents
and
b) bought myself regardless

Lazy Saturday afternoon F1 on, trigger bored, almost almost "forgot" as just finished a book so thought "just have a browse......."

Must browse internal bookshelves
Must stay strong

Mine to look less of a state is still going well. I've lost nearly 30lbs and need to lose one more stone. I've been making more effort with my appearance each day and look and feel 100% better.
