Please help - messed up foot kicking in door

Last month DD5 got locked in the bathroom after the latch jammed. after failing to open it from the outside (screws were threaded) I ended up having to kick it in. It was a huge heavy fire door that I ended up kicking off its hinges with my bare feet. Not my best idea but DD was having a terrible autistic meltdown and couldn’t breathe from panicking. Now I’m left with a very sore foot a month later, I only made the connection last night that that is possible what has caused the pain! 😳

don’t suppose anyone has any idea on what I could do to help? I don’t have much hope in the GP doing anything so whatever I can do privately. I work in HC which means long days on my feet and it’s unbearable. Here’s a diagram of where my foot is hurting, it’s my heel and then running up the side of my foot 😭

I’d try and get to a private podiatrist if you can find one / afford it.

If you work in health card can you ask them for professional advice or at least get an xray

Pashazade · 14/01/2024 19:31

You need X-rays to be sure but you've probably fractured your heel do something like that.
Can you get someone to watch DD so you can go to A&E? Obviously there's no rush, but an X-ray is the best thing for telling you what's wrong.

Yeah, I did something or nothing to my foot and didn't do anything sensible about it. And I really didn't do anything as daft as kicking in a door. Ignored it for ages. It'd be OK. That's why I now have had major surgery and have a metal frame holding my ankle together which limits flexibility.

I’d get it xrayed.

HotChocolateWithCointreau · 14/01/2024 19:38

Hmm. Are you sure it's from that?

That's exactly where I get plantar fasciitis pain...

Separately and completely missing the point but go you! Look at you all Ninja kicking a heavy door down. I'm embarrassingly impressed
