Breastfeeding and Periods

My third baby is now almost 13 months and my period has yet to return.

Im still breastfeeding her through the night as and when usually 2/3 times and maybe 2/3 times in the day too. She is on three meals a day plus snacks.

My periods had returned well before now with my first two children so am wondering where the hell they are!

Although obviously loving not having a period I’m just wondering when most people got theirs back if they were still breastfeeding at one.

Currently breastfeeding 15 month old (DD2). Got first period PP last month. With DD1 got first period PP when she was 15 months. Hope this reassures you.

I had mine back early on (although they were irregular) but I've heard lots of women say for as long as they fed/2 years on the Breastfeeding older babies and beyond fb group I'm in

@BingBongBoo86 Yes that does reassure me thank you! I think it’s just as with the older two they’d restarted by now.

Got back at 13 months. Stopped bF 12 months

Came back at 4 months pp yet I breastfed till nearly 13 months! I was gutted as I was looking forward to a few months more without a period.

Yet most people I know say theirs didn't return until they'd finished breastfeeding. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

Pregnant with #2 now and planning to bf again so I wonder how it will be this time around!
