Oxygen levels on pulse oximeter

ive been feeling rough all week and today my chest feels tickly when i breath. It’s the only way I can describe it and it makes me cough. Checked my oxygen this afternoon and it fluctuates between 93-98 but settles on 94/95. My usual oxygen is 98/99. I’m meant to be working tomorrow and going to be tricky to calll GP. But if pulse oximeter does occasionally move to 98, does that mean it’s okay?

I will start off by saying that I'm not medically qualified, but I've had severe uncontrolled asthma all my life, as has my DW. We check our oxygen sats everyday. If you are reading 93 from a normal of 99 and your breathing is rattly and feel generally unwell, I would try for Out of hours or 111 if that's your only option where you live. I wouldn't leave it till tomorrow or later.

Thanks. What’s confusing me is it goes from 93-98 but settles at 95 ish . So just not at as clear cut as if at 93/94 all the time .
