Has anyone gone from pathetic hand eye coordination to be able to play golf?

golf is big for networking in my industry, and I also quite like the idea of the steps and getting out in open for a hobby.

however the few times I have tried I have missed the ball and taken out clumps of green instead. Would lessons help me or shall I admit defeat and look for something I may have a modicum of ability at!

I no longer play but played golf for many years. At first the majority of people are hopeless and you do need lessons. Join a ladies group for beginners and pair up with someone who you can meet up to practice and give each other advice.

I loved playing but it does become time consuming which is why I no longer play.
