I know she's seen it all before but I'm so embarrassed

Today I had a, ahem. Private waxing

I was NOT prepared to have a very nice beautician say 'pull the cheeks apart with your hands'

So I did. But proceeded to go on all fours and spread them awkwardly that way.

She shyly but kindly told me she meant for me to be on my back

Thing is, she didn't actually say how so it was a fair assumption

I've had laser (the full Hollywood), and swear by it, but for some reason they forget this part which was suppose to be included so I'm having it waxed

I'd love to use that salon again but not sure how I can justify showing my face as the all fours cheeky spreader

My DH has been in stitches over my misfortune!

I don’t think this is really that embarrassing. How were you to know the position you were supposed to be in if she didn’t tell you? Surely they’ve had worse than that. Just forget about it and use the salon again if you want to.

I can't really see that pulling your cheeks apart whilst lying on your back with your legs in the air is much less embarrassing than doing the same thing on all fours! Neither position is very dignified really 😁 I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure you're not the first person to make that mistake!

I work in a similar field, and honestly she wouldn't have given it a thought. It would have been just a normal part of her day . Seeing vulvas and rectums is what she does, so this would have been no big deal.

This reminds me of a friend who was going to see a gynaecologist, and she was worried about him looking at her bits. For some weird reason she decided to sprinkle glitter on her vulva - just to lighten up the situation ! Apparently he did the examination and made no comment . She asked him if he'd noticed anything unusual down there, and he simply said no, it was unremarkable . She was mortified to think that she'd gone to that trouble , and he hadn't even noticed.
