Any washing machine experts around? My Samsung has ‘ died’ without any warning.

I have a 4 year old Samsung Eco Bubble, which worked without any issues till today. I did the last wash a few days ago, but today it does not turn on. The switch button clicks but the control panel does not turn on. I have checked the socket and replaced the fuse in the plug.
The power cable does not have any visible damage. The washing machine has not been moved for several months . I removed the top cover and looked to see if there were any signs of damage, but did not see anything.
What else can cause a washing machine to ‘die’ without any warning? Is it worth calling somebody to fix it? Or is it likely to be the control board being broken, which would probably cost a lot to fix?

You should have a 5 year warranty on the machine.

Unfortunately the washing machine was purchased by x husband who did not register it for the warranty. I also do not have any proof of purchase☹️

Oh, sorry to hear that. I think likely it is broken then. I've had a few Samsung machines, all need something major replacing in the first five years.

I don't think it is worth calling someone out, as even if they fix this something likely round the corner.

I'd buy another and get the five year warranty.

It does sound like the motherboard, unfortunately.
