I called landlord a prick earlier. Don't regret it. He has supposed to be putting on the heating a month ago, hasn't bothered and is away in sunny climes whilst I'm in 2 blankets and a woolly hat. He's not allowed to evict me so prick it is.

Bloke is being a complete twit.

At least work resumes soon so I can snarl at that instead.

Ha! I have those fairly often. He does sound like a prick to be fair. What's the reasoning behind not putting the heating on?

As an aside, please watch Loudermilk on Netflix. I think you'll like it!

@TwistTheRibs Oh he's just a lazy, money grabbing twat. Oddly enough he can't give me notice as I moved from a safe house to private rented here. Unless I did anything like break the windows which I'm not inclined to do as at the very least that would make it even colder.

OK shall investigate Loudermilk!

Is he actually allowed to withhold the heating? If you have a rental agreement that states it’s included then it should be on. You could call Shelter or CAB for advice.

I did wonder that - it's nearly Sunday so it'll have to wait until next week.

I'm also not sure it's accurate about notice. It's luckily through estate agents so I'll call in on them next week. They should be able to give me notice. I don't like this place or the landlord.

At least you have some security in that he cannot (most likely) kick you out. CAB/Shelter are good ideas for advice.

It's so hard to find a conscientious landlord. Have had some right stinkers in my time!
