DH pain in his stomach

Hi- there were lots of filters in health topic so not sure which one to post in. Any ideas what this good be?

Almost 24 hours of pain in his stomach- since last night- a cramping pain- every 15 mins or so sharp sort of pain. He's saying it's in the middle of his stomach so I guess just either side of his belly button. No D or V.

Has been gassy, so don't think it's trapped wind. Hasn't really eaten anything different to us. But his back has been hurting for a few days so could that be something to do with it or not.

Any ideas?

Appendix? If it's getting worse I would personally be inclined to get that checked out, especially if it feels more so to the right than the left x

Has he had any heartburn? Could be stomach ulcer/s?

Guts can be appendix, upper right can be gallstones or pancreatitis, upper left gastritis or ulcer.

You know his lifestyle and will be able to work out which is most likely but call 111 for advice.

It's not hideous pain. Just sharp, cramp feeling , now about 20 mins apart. I've given a hot water bottle. Let's see. Thank you and appreciate you taking time to answer.

My DP had similar symptoms before Christmas. He then got very poorly with much worse pain & sickness. He's just been diagnosed with gallstones after having a scan / blood tests.

Thank you for taking time to reply. He 'seems' better today. Let's see when he has eaten and if that affects anything.

Have decided to try and get an appointment with the GP tomorrow. Not sure what's going on. Poor thing. I'm wondering ulcer too now, gall stones. He seems able to cope when lying down and deals with the sharp pain. Tomorrow should get some answers.
