Do some items sell better on Vinted?

I've just started to sell clothes on Vinted and I'm wondering if some types sell best/quickest so I can start with those. (I'm quite slow at uploading items and can only do it while DC naps.)

If anyone has noticed that some things sell better/quicker than others, I'd love to hear your opinions.

I've got:

  • women's tops
  • women's sweaters
  • women's dresses
  • women's trousers
  • baby clothes
  • baby toys/mobiles

I'm asking because I only really buy baby clothes and women's tops. I tend to avoid dresses and trousers because I find it hard to get a good fit.

Ime children's clothes sell well, as do any 'brands' for women. Men's clothes don't seem to sell well.

I would say, look at when you upload them. The best time is after most people's working day has finished & dinner/bedtime done, so 6pm/7pm-9pm. Saturday mornings are even better. And the weekend after payday (for lots of people, last Friday of the month) is also very popular.

Thank you! Yes, I agree about children's clothes - that's what I mostly use it for too.

Great point about the upload times.

I put some stuff on after the summer as I don't have room to store two seasons of clothes in my bedroom. They were all size 20 and over the summer I skimmed to a 16. They went really quick. I'm now selling my 18 and 16 stuff as im now 14 and it's not moving. I know as a former bigger person I preferred to shop online but now I'm happy to go into shops, so that might be part of it. Or it's still three weeks till payday for a lot of people and December payday was far away.

I have only bought from Vinted, tbh there was just far too much, I wanted some dungarees for DD2 and it was so many. I think the pair I got in the end had been listed for 8 months.

I imagine if you are selling something very specific (or perhaps a children's bundle etc) it will sell a lot easier than a random pair of dungarees.
