Horlicks tablets are back

Who remembers these. I used to love them

My grandma used to make us grandkids a hot Horlicks before bed, I didn’t drink it because I hate hot drinks but the smell was so lovely and comforting. I buy Horlicks powder now as a cake ingredient - I think I’d like to try one these. I reckon it’s like the compacted version of the inside of a malteser, all that yummy malty goodness…

Cake ingredient? That sounds yummy. I presume you substitute some of the flour for horlicks?

I loved these as a child, my mum got me some from Australia a few years ago, tasted exactly right ! Unfortunately now I'm coeliac so can only dream of the taste 🤣🤣🤣

I chomped through packets of these through my O-level exams. Loved them. They were definitely in tubes, like polos, rather than tins, though - and I vaguely remember them being sqiarish.

Gluten and lactose intolerant so won't be giving them another try

OMG this is fan flippin fantastic news. Horlicks tablets are kind of like the inside of Malteesers. All I need now is full fat Lucozade to come back.

It’s in the nigella malteser cake recipe, it’s a familu favourite here! The cake has a kind of bouncy texture, unusual but so tasty.

I've been searching my branch of b&m but can't find any Horlicks tablets. If anyone has bought some recently, which aisle did you find thm in? I've been up and down the food aisle and the medicines ☹️

I was telling a colleague about these the other day. You could only buy them in chemists and they cost about 6p (double the price of a pack of polos) and there was only about 6 in the packet.

Well I've asked four different members of staff and have shown them a photo of the tin. I'm true b&m fashion, they have all looked at me as though I am an alien and either directed me to the medicines aisle or said they don't sell them. 😟

I can't find them either .

I loved these, but my friends hated them and we baffled each other. Now, I like to feel the little round feet on the underside of my MacBook because the shape and size remind me of Horlicks tablets. Hoping our B&M has them.

They didn't have them in the B&M I went to 😪. But I ended up buying strawberry shoelaces, oxo cubes and a carbon monoxide sensor.
