I've just been thinking about working life and although it didn't work out the way I had planned, its turned out OK.

Just curious about others if you fancy joining me?

Always wanted to be - A Royal Navy mechanical engineer.

Ended up with - A career in private sector IT.

If I could turn the clock back - I would do a medical degree and be a criminal pathologist.

Definitely would never be - A screen (barrell) scraping Daily Mail "journalist"

Over to you 😀

I thought I would be doing anthropological research in the Amazon jungle and I would have built my own house in Devon out of natural materials like straw.

In reality I lived in a 1970s maisonette and work in HR.

Wanted to be a vet or an author, ended up in an office job having multiple teams meetings every day about what a good job we're doing without making any tangible difference to the world. If I could turn the clock back I'd be an occupational therapist and I'd definitely never be a banker or someone in oil.
