Cheating Ryanair baggage allowance fees?

Hi. I'm travelling with a 2 year old who has an allowance for 2 bits of equipment, car seat , buggy ect. I was wondering if I could pretend I'm bring a piece of equipment to check in but actually just have clothes? Has anyone done this or have any smart ideas how I could do this? I normally just bring a buggy to the gate and have never actually checked in equipment with Ryanair. Thanks!

How would you just have clothes? What would they be in? If they were inside a car seat bag or hubby bag with the car seat/buggy it might work but a bag of clothes? No.

You want to check in another suitcase instead of a buggy? I don’t think that’s going to work.

Items like that normally go in a separate place as oversized luggage. You might get away with a few items with the buggy if it is in a bag.

You can put a few things inside but it has to be the actual equipment at took a large car seat (hbb) in a travel bag, we put a blanket inside and strapped DS' large favourite cuddly toy into the seat itself. Ryan air would charge you for air to breathe if they could, they're not going to just let you turn up with a bag and say it's a car seat or a buggy.

I used to have a buggy with a basket underneath that you could draw string close and I used to put all of DSs clothes and nappies in there for a week 🤣

That's about all you can do though, fill the pram storage areas to the brim (and make sure they are secured as they get chucked around more than suitcases)

You know airport security X ray bags and can check inside them to see what's in them for security reasons, right? Because if you get this wrong your options are to a) leave all your clothes at an airport and never get them back b) pay to check them or c) miss your flight to take your clothes home.

Yeah you can’t do this.

I do add a few bits but just the things that go with items ie travel cot in would fold up with sleeping bag, baby pillow and muslins all folding within it. But related items

The car seat bag for Ds 3, has his toddler pillow inside usually

But not including the car seat or pram won’t work:

You need a buggy bag. Put the buggy in and there's tones of space for other stuff. We do this often.

Thanks for the replies! I've just check in bag instead. No point risking it.
