justice has been served today.

Can't imagine what the poor boy went through. Hope the mother and her partner rot in prison, even that is too good for them. 💔

Agree..bloody sickening!Poor baby 😥

keylemon · 12/01/2024 17:35

Poor little angel! R.I.P.

LakeTiticaca · 12/01/2024 17:45

Hope they both get some proper justice in the Big House

Raspberrymoon49 · 12/01/2024 18:06

Bastards, both of them, that poor little boy, hope they feel something of the terror and pain they inflicted on little Alfie

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/01/2024 18:06

Yet another tragic case where the mother starts a new relationship and her child perishes at the hands of the new partner and the mother.

They got together Sept 2020 , Alfie was dead in the November.
Not only a disasterous choice in men but no way should they have been sharing the caravan, or as they said in their defence sharing the bed . Probably trying to blame a drug/drink fuelled co-sleeping suffocation.

Poor innocent child did not stand a chance Sad Angry

PonyPatter44 · 12/01/2024 18:15

That little boy didn't die from suffocation, @70isaLimitNotaTarget . The judge said he had sustained 50+ injuries on the night he died. Its not a pleasant read.

Shiningout · 12/01/2024 18:16

It's sickening to even read the articles. To actually have gone through it, at such a young age, at the hands of the one person you are completely dependant on. It's disgusting. These people aren't even human.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 12/01/2024 18:17

It’s an awful story, but one which repeats with horrific frequency. Poor little boy.

Northernsouloldies · 12/01/2024 18:21

Hopefully they see out every day of their sentences and don't get the chance to cut their sentences by their own hand.

RoseAndRose · 12/01/2024 18:30

It's hideous - according to the BBC he had around 70 injuries on his body and around 50 of those are believed to have been inflicted on the day of his death

"Alfie died with injuries including fractures to his ribs, arms and leg, signs of smothering to his lips and mouth, and traces of cocaine in his body"

Just awful Sad

RIP Alfie

Woahtherehoney · 12/01/2024 18:54

Just seen it on the news and it’s reduced me to tears. That poor baby boy must have been so scared - I can’t even imagine 💙 justice has been served and I hope life in prison for them both is absolute hell

No they ( the Mum and her partner) said he was unresponsive and blue in the bed , they most likely tried to pass it off as an accidental drug/drunk smothering .

They bith lied to save their skin so probably came up with anything they could think of .

Emily1583 · 12/01/2024 19:43

Horrific case. Alarm bells should have been raised when mother moved into a caravan with her new fella. Some sort of assessment should have been made to decide if the child was perhaps better off in the care of the father or a grandparent.

MrsMarzetti · 12/01/2024 20:05

I really can't read the story, it is just too heartbreaking

PickledMuffin · 12/01/2024 20:07

I can't read it all either.

So many of these beautiful children are killed by the mother’s ‘new partner’, it’s tragic how some people will put their desperation for a partner, however disgusting they might be, above their children, such a depressingly common theme

blackpanth · 12/01/2024 21:48

Poor little man 😥

FancyJapflack · 12/01/2024 21:51

I used to be so against capital
punishment but for cases like these, along with poor
little Arthur Labinjo Hughes and others like him, I would genuinely pull the lever with not a trace of regret.

TheTwirlyPoos · 12/01/2024 21:54

Rest in peace Alfie

50 children a year are murdered at the hands of their care givers. Something needs to change

Northernsouloldies · 12/01/2024 21:54

I think a death sentence would be to easy, think how spirit crushing it would be to have the same mundane routine for years and no freedom of choice... That's the punishment.

NeedWineNow · 12/01/2024 22:28

It's the most shocking story which has sadly been repeated all too often.

There have been frequent reports on the trial on our local news as we're in Kent, and it has been awful to see his cheerful little face on our tv screen. Absolutely heartbreaking.

The mum and her partner are absolute vile scum, and I hope they rot in hell.
