Still look pregnant at 6 months postpartum

I'm not someone who thinks you should snap back after pregnancy - and I've always had a bit of a sticky out tum.
But I look six months pregnant 6mo postpartum. I have lost a bit of weight but I'm holding so much flab around my midsection.

I'm normally quite happy with my body but this is getting me down - mostly because nothing fits properly!

I don't think I have diastasis recti but have been doing the exercises just in case.

Has anyone had anything similar and did it ever go down? Any tips on what to wear? Need a bit of a morale boost!

I think this is more normal than you think. Are you spending time with other new mums? I only have one friend who snapped back but she is a 5 ft 8 7st freak of nature who struggles to gain weight.
If you have the time and motivation then start a new exercise regime and overhaul your diet. If this is all too much with a young baby then forgive yourself and wait a while.

I think it took me over a year before my mid section was anything close to ‘normal’.

I had someone ask when the baby was due about six months after I’d had it. Still smarts.

I found floaty tops were good. Nothing empire line or very fitted.

Totally normal, don't worry.

Thank you for your replies. I know quite a lot of mums who have snapped back so it's hard not to compare even though I know I shouldn't. I might make more of an effort to do more than just yoga!
