What are peoples feelings on treatments, often abroad, that are often only used by one clinic and expensive?
My feelings are that if it's been around for a while (years) but no other clinic does it, it's possibly woo.
If its new then maybe its pioneering and like an expensive private clinical trail that has as much chance of not working as any clinical trail in the UK or less.
I guess it's easier to be pro if you need that miracle, but my first gut instinct is that it's a gamble.
Just musing aloud. The big cases with kids that hit the news I think I'd do anything it was me. But standing outside, often seems to border on going against science like bring dead tissue back to live or rewiring the dna in every cell in the body.
However ALL medicine was pioneering and risky once. We took the stuff that worked at the expense of stuff that was lethal or inert.
