Rash on leg

Hi, my 8 year old has a sore back of her leg. I’m not sure if it’s eczema or not? Just in one patch and until a couple of days ago it wasn’t there. It’s very sore for her and E45 isn’t cutting it! Any advice before I c is it the chemist?

Looks like ringworm - a fungal rash to me. Quite a large patch isn't it. If so would need special fungal cream from GP. Good luck!

Actually you can get over the counter anti- fungals.

I think dd needs a doctor's appointment to properly diagnose, but I will say that, as someone who has suffered more than my fair share of skin complaints, E45 cream is pretty useless and has never helped.

Definitely needs to be seen by pharmacist or GP.

Put Canesten on it until she can be seen.

Thanks everyone. Ringworm hadn’t crossed my mind. After googling it I can see it does look similar and am also relieved it isn’t actually caused by worms….
