Has anyone used AnyVan? Should I trust someone collecting with it?

Quick answer appreciated. Someone wanting to buy something worth £100 via Facebook Marketplace is proposing sending Any Van with cash in an envelope to collect the item. Am I being old fashioned? Is AnyVan a known thing that people use for this? Is it a bit weird? What do I need to be aware of (apart from checking the money before I hand over the item)? Thanks.

I’ve used it but paid for item using bank transfer. No problems

Just do a quick Google about it. I sold a children's car seat on marketplace last year. I had 14 different people message me about wanting to pick up by courier and pay with cash. I'm not sure what the scam is now, I can't remember but I didn't sell to them

OK thanks. I think I'll give it a miss. Also had someone insisting I open a PayPal account which I don't want to do so have lost that options too. Then, just had an old school friend who lives 100s of miles away apparently sending me a marketplace message - I am sure it's not that she wants the item. Seems there are some dodgy things afoot.
