Universal Credit-worry

Hello

Pls I need a bit of advice or maybe just a bit of calming down

My anxiety is always through the roof especially regarding UC

IVE been a director of a company since 2012. Stopped trading with it in 2016 and been fully employed since . Joined UC 2018 but I can’t remember if they asked when signing up if I had a company. If they did , I would definitely have told them

I got a better job recently so quickly went to report a change of circumstances .

When filling out the work and earnings bit, it asked if I’m a director and I said yes thought I didn’t choose I was self employed

My worry is knowing UC, they would start asking for things. Like I mentioned the colony is still active just purely because I may need to trade in future so sometimes HMRc still asks to prepare Accts as I have ongoing liabilities and g bank charges etc

Pls my question is would UC start asking for anything now I have chosen I’m a director? My payment is due Monday though my statement came out yesterday. Don’t want them holding my pay this month, too broke 😫😫

I may just be overthinking

Thank you

Could you not just change it online again and say you’re not a director?
the director question is about your new role not if you have a dormant company where you are the director…
if your company has been active but dormant all these years you will have several self assessment tax returns to show UC zero income if they do query it.

Thank you for your response

the question said “are you a director of a company “ . I don’t think it said in relation to this role or am I mistaken ? 😪😪

do I contact them to tell them I made a mistake

I thought it was of another company?

You can just make another change in the journal online . And make a note to your work coach (🙄) that it was a mistake.

the question if you’re a director will be regarding your new job.
