Netflix question

We have always just had the basic plan where only one person can watch at a time. Teens want to pay to upgrade to 2 devices. I've read the plan, but I can't work out whether that means you can only have Netflix on two devices or you can only watch it on two devices at a time. So could it be downloaded on our TV and both of their phones and iPads but only 2 people watch at a time.

2 devices at a time, plus download on one device.

I'm back at 1 screen now, but when both teens were using it as well one oc them had the download device and would watch downloads rather than streaming directly.

But can we have it on 5 devices but only watch it two at a time (if that makes sense)

You can watch it on 2 devices at once. You can have netflix on as many devices as you like it is just an app that you log into.
Example for our house we have
4 phones
4 tablets
Switch
PlayStation
Xbox
3 laptops
2 smart tvs
All of the above have the netflix app but we are limited to watching on 4 devices at a time as we have premium.

Yes I believe that's correct. We have the two device plan and the account is on two TVs and two phones. Very rarely I've gone to watch and had a pop-up to say I can't as we've exceeded the plan, and a prompt to upgrade to yet more devices.

Chasingsquirrels · 09/01/2024 20:26

Yes.
We've got it on about 6 or 7 (TV, firestick, phones, laptops) but only have 1 screen subscription so if try to watch when someone else is then just get a message saying can't as would exceed usage. Can still look through the app at what's on etc, just not play anything.

That's great thanks

You can download some films and series onto any of your devices which helps solve the problem with Netflix

We have Disney + which can be watched on 6 devices

We also have Prime but that was always for the faster shipping initially

I really should chop and change and cancel Netflix for a month at a time

I get NOW TV whenever there's something I really want to watch like GoT, White Lotus, Succession.

I haven't upgraded NETFLIX since I first got it years ago. The price has increased slightly but I'm not sure if I'm paying less than normal or the same as everyone else

I got Apple TV free which was great for a few series I loved like Ted Lasso. I'll get it again to watch S3 of Slow Horses.

I've just updated my Netflix plan actually

I didn't realise how much I was paying so I've changed my plan to £4.99 a month but with Ads. We don't care about ads really so not really an issue

ScribeSev · 10/01/2024 00:18

You can't download though on this cheaper plan but we never have so that's not an issue either

My Disney + Annual subscription ends in Feb so I'm going to change to their lower Ad subscription too as my current subscription looks to be significantly increased then so Ads it will have to be

Sadly Prime have chucked on Ads regardless and expect us to pay an extra £2.99 pm to get rid of them. CF. Bloody Bezos

These are all for 2 devices. I'm having to downgrade from 4 devices to 2 on Disney but that's ok. It used to be 6 when they first started out
