Lump on roof of mouth

Hi all, this lump appeared randomly 4 days ago, it’s smooth and painful
about the size of a pea, it’s not painful unless I apply pressure with my finger. I’m not looking for a diagnoses I’m just curious to see if anyone has had anything similar that ended up going away or turned out to be nothing?? I’ve got really bad anxiety so I hope it goes away in the next week or so and not some sort of mouth cancer.

I've had that a couple of times! They went away but from memory it took quite a while, some months.

It’s so strange I went to the dr today who said as it’s only day 4 of it being there to go back if it’s still there in 10 days which will be 2 weeks to then refer me to a dentist to check it out I have no idea what it could be though

Might be a cyst, fluid-filled blister, something like that. I've had similar before and they've either vanished by themselves or I've inadvertently popped them with my toothbrush.

I get those when I have a cold
from sucking at throat sweets I suspect,

Maddy4589 · 09/01/2024 19:16

I thought a cyst but doesn’t seem filled with fluid as it’s quite hard and doesn’t move at all.. my health anxiety is so bad I can’t stop worrying it’s some sort of tumour…

Hmm I haven’t had a cold or sucked on anything hard as far as I’m aware

Sucked on anything hard, I was laughing at your joke! Or innuendo

RoseDog · 09/01/2024 21:47

Did you eat a cheese pizza right out the oven or anything else really hot---- and blister the roof of your mouth...or is that just me everytime!
