Question about buying someone out of a property

Just that really,my ex is looking to buy me out of the ex marital home in the next few months - I need to know how long it will take so I know when to start looking at properties myself

Have you got a solicitor? You will need to sign a form to take you off the deeds.

How is he raising the cash to buy you out? Re-mortgage? Loan? Savings? Depending which it is will depend on how long it will take.

He will have additional cash but will also need to remortgage I believe.

I have a divorce solicitor but will use someone else for the house I think

If he’s remortgaging, anywhere from 1-4 months. Depending on which lender. Possibly the quicker end of that at the moment as the housing market is slow and lenders / solicitors not so busy.
