Has anyone on here done a mutual exchange with social housing? Specifically via the homeswapper app?
We put our forms in last week but my landlord hasn’t changed to received forms, whereas the other landlord has already completed their checks and now waiting on mine. It has shown as sent but not received. I am worried my landlord will cause a huge delay as they’re known for being pretty useless with communicating. I know they have 6 weeks to agree or refuse but it seems like it’ll take longer if they haven’t even looked at my forms yet.
Should I be pestering them to hurry up or does it delay the move by doing this?
Any advice about the process would be gratefully appreciated as I’m so worried it’ll fall through and we’ll lose the house.
Please no nasty comments I’m in social housing because of an emergency situation and not because I’m a scrounger as I’ve often seen said on here. Tia
