Do you do online surveys / market research?

If so is it worth yout time?
I've been having a look at some but I'm not sure if it's ever realistic to get to 7 million points for a £5 gift card or whatever.
Thanks

The best survey sites I have found for me,to earn quickly with low withdrawal thresholds are Streetbees and Eureka surveys. With Eureka, you do surveys, play games etc and can withdraw each time you reach £4.At every cashout, you automatically receive £1.20 straight back into your account so it builds up quickly.Streetbees call their surveys, stories and I often do stories on my pets.At the minute,I am completing stories on cat food which have been taking around 5 minutes and earning £3.50 a time, which I think I can take at least 8 times so that's easy money.
Hey! Use my code U3P92Q on Eureka Surveys and unlock a short 80p survey just for signing up! https://eurekasurveys.page.link/sD4pAYDRkfnj3NZC9
I use Streetbees, and I love it! I can earn some extra cash every day with their app. You'll enjoy it too. Remember to add my referral code when you sign up; it's 73773X.

I do YouGov, but it takes forever to get to the points needed for £50 and the nearer you get to it, the fewer you’re asked to do. They’re usually very boring too.

Puddingpieplum · 08/01/2024 20:39

@Bluevelvetsofa sounds a bit of a slog, would it be a month to get £50, or longer would you say?
@TheQuiveringMole thanks for that, I'll have a look at your links.

I use Prolific. They're mostly academic research studies so are often quite interesting and there are decent minimum rates of pay. You are automatically pre screened via your profile details so you never get screened out half way through. I've made £150 very easily in about 2 months but I could've made more if I'd had more free time. There's quite often a waiting list to join, but once you're in it's great!

Yougov, Ipsos Mori, OnePoll. The pay is peanuts.
They are DESPERATE for teenagers to fill these things in.

SnowSnow · 08/01/2024 20:50

I use AttaPoll. You can transfer to PayPal and then straight from there to your bank and cash out minimum is £3. If you sign up with my link you’ll get 40p and so will I.

I'm inviting you to join AttaPoll. Get paid to take surveys. Download the app here:

@Puddingpieplum I’d say you’re lucky if you get £50 a year with YouGov. Everyone says the same and they’re so boring.

Puddingpieplum · 09/01/2024 08:14

@Bluevelvetsofa I did one last night, it was very tedious and I only got 10 point, is that the usual reward? So I'd have to do 1 or 2 every day for a year for £50, seems like a lot of head space!

You’re lucky if you get 1 survey a week with YouGov. It’s really not worth it if you want to make some extra money. I’ve been doing it for probably a year and I’m not at 4000 points yet and you need 5000 to get £50.

cerisepanther73 · 09/01/2024 08:34

Occasionally just once I've recently done one

Richardbluebauble · 09/01/2024 08:51

Prolific is my biggest earner, about £50 a month, well worth applying.
Onepoll is OK (get about £25 every 2 months) very quick surveys.
Norstat panel (used to be with panelbase but they took over so not sure yet).
You gov probably not worth it, I've got 1000 points in a year (need 5000 to cash out £50).
I've tried quite a few others but find you end up late screening out etc (eg life points, attapoll, eureka and streetbees). Definitely trial and error to see what's best for you.

rbe78 · 09/01/2024 10:05

YouGov is pointless if you're doing it for the money, you get very few surveys and they build up points very slowly.

Prolific is good - as other PPs have said, it's a little bit of market research, but mostly academic studies, so they are often quite interesting (and you are contributing to science as well!). They have a minimum pay rate that equates to soemthing like £6.25 hour, though many pay more (not that they are an hour long, you earn usually £0.20-£2.00/survey).

I have done it on and off for a year or two and have earned about a grand - but I usually do it for a week or two then forget about for a couple of months, so you could probably earn more. Bear in mind that the algorithm that choses which studies to invite you to prefers a 'naive' participant (as the researchers want real responses, and answering too many studies can skew your responses) - so if you do a lot in a short time period, it will reduce how many you are invited to for a while - so there is a limit to how much you can earn via Prolific.
