I need that mouse in my life!

Westfacing · 08/01/2024 08:47

Just so cute, and clever!

I wonder if it thinks "this can go here and that can go there" like a mousey Krypton Factor game?

timetofetgit · 08/01/2024 10:29

Is it definitely a mouse? I thought it was a rat, 🐀, looking at its tail! Bloody cute though. It's made me rethink the story of the elves and the shoe maker😂.

Yes it's a mouse (I know a rat when I see one, unfortunately). Amazing organisational skills!

I was thinking of the mice in Bagpuss. I wonder if it can sing as well 🎶

Soubriquet · 08/01/2024 10:40

Makes you wonder why the mouse insists on doing this

Thecatmaster · 08/01/2024 10:44

Thanks. Has brightened up my day.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 08/01/2024 10:47

It's leaving shit and piss all over his desk though, which is less cute.

KingsleyBorder · 08/01/2024 10:49

I saw this in the Guardian and did indeed make me smile. The headline is brilliant too.

I’d love to understand from a behaviourist why they do this.

We have mice and they never tidy my kitchen!

Serves him right, he shouldn't have left his desk in such a mess, should he 😁

When a mouse has better housekeeping skills than you do....Grin
If I had a small child I'd be showing them this to encourage them to tidy their toys.

Behaviourally, I'd guess it's down to their hoarding instinct. We used to keep unopened bags (very heavyweight plastic) of the dog's food in the garage till we discovered a hole chewed in it. Som time later we found a large pile of kibble in another part of the garage.

I wonder if there'll be more footage
