Quickest way to heal a deep cut in gum?

On 22nd December I had a back molar built up as a piece of the tooth had broken off.
Tbh, the dentist did struggle a bit (she’s new) but was also quite heavy handed. She used one of those dental clamp devices (like the one in the photo I’ve attached). I didn’t feel it at the time as I was obviously numbed up but it feels as though she’s pushed the clamp too deep and into my gum between the two molars.

Without sounding like too much of a whimp, it is agonising every time I eat. I try to eat on the other side but am already missing two teeth on that side (had awful issues with my teeth since having my dc, for some reason but that’s a whole other story 🙄) so do really have to eat on my left side somewhat.

I am trying to eat soft foods and I’m cleaning the area regularly, swishing with tcp and warm salt water and trying to calm down the area with iced water but it takes several hours after eating for the pain and throbbing to subside. I have to be careful with painkillers as I have digestive issues.

DH has had a look and says he can see a deep cut in my gum.

Any suggestions to get this healed up and pain-free asap?

Warm salt water mouthwash at every opportunity. An antiseptic gel such as bonjela at every opportunity. Gargle with dissolved soluble aspirin if in pain.

I use corsodyl mouthwash whenever I have a sore area in my mouth, but I’m not sure if I would with a deep cut. I think I’d be asking the dentist. Sounds rubbish for you Sad
