Rant:

Ds 16 is really pissing me off. Hes being over the top hyper showing off etc. I was doing nuggets and chips in the air fryer for the 2 younger ones. He burst in the kitchen opening the air fryer. Then he's trying to take the kids food. Then he's locking me in the kitchen till I take chicken nuggets out the freezer for him because it's to cold for his hands. He's laughing hyper etc so I'm not sure how to take him. But he would not let me out. I did manage to get out in the end.

I did manage to get out in the end. Then I shut all the doors and let him get on with it. I just don't have energy for his shit.

Why do you have a lock on your kitchen door?
Why didn't you cook him nuggets too if you were cooking for your other children?

I don't have a lock . I meant he was leaning on it and would not let me out

But you said he was trying to take the younger kids food out of the air fryer...I don't understand why you don't just cook for all of them. What would he do, refuse to eat what you'd made?

I hear what you're saying teens can take the piss.
But for the MNetters that dont have the problem or not been through it wont understand what you mean.

I have already said several times he likes to cook for himself. He was just being an arsehole. It's basically he decided that he wanted to do his food when I was half way through doing the younger kids . Instead of waiting 5 mins he decided to start all ths hyper over the top stuff

Thank you for getting it . I don't want a kid of 6ft 4 locking me in the kitchen by using his body again the door. And trying to make me go in the freezer because he don't want to touch a frozen packet of food. There was all the speed hyper talking wheres he's not hearing/listening to what I say . He doesn't know when to stop.

I don't kind a joke bit of messing about . But the biggest thing is locking me in the kitchen with his body against the door so I can't get out. I feel trapped i hate it

I get it i really do heads-up someone will be along soon to tell you to get him checked for a MH issue.

Is this a one off or a pattern of behaviour? Do you have a partner /does he have a dad who could have a word?

I'd be really annoyed by this too OP.

Does his dad live with you? Even if he doesn't, would he tell your DS that isn't acceptable behaviour and must not happen again. Using your physical superiority over someone is never acceptable.

I'm glad you have professional involvement OP. I hope things improve for you soon. Most teens are annoying from time to time but your DS' behaviour sounds really challenging. Vent away
