Pandora-combatible charms

I didn't want to put this in Style & Beauty as Pandora isn't high end, though it's expensive...

DD1 asked for a Pandora bracelet for her birthday which is fine and we got her that plus a couple of charms.

I'm thinking about future charms. Pandora say non-pandora charms may harm the bracelet. Is that nonsense, designed to persuade you to buy Pandora charms, or is there truth in it?

There's a Marvel charm DD will like which is £45 with Pandora and £17.99 on an eBay site which claims its genuine Pandora but I'm not sure how it can be (they have loads of charms, not just the odd one or two and no original packaging).

I'm not that fussed if it's not genuine, it's more this "damage the bracelet" point.

I put a non pandora charm on my leather bracelet and followed it with another pandora charm. The legitimate pandora charm got stuck on the screw bit at the end and it ended up twisting off the leather. When I took it to the shop they refused to fix it because of the non pandora charm being on the bracelet even though it didn't cause the problem. Just being there was enough for them to say no. If it was a metal bracelet I probably would risk it as they seem to be more 'all one piece' sort of design but not a leather one!

Pandora are talking shit, it won’t damage the bracelet.

not sure about eBay copies, but I’ve started using Gnoce and I was surprised by the charms because I thought they might be proper crap, but they weren’t and I’d order again.

Brilliant, thank you both. It's a metal bracelet. And if I ever need to take it back into the shop I'll be sure to remove the non-pandora charms. 😁 Dancing Groot, here we come!
